About us

Novi Sad Chamber Choir (2013) is an ensemble made up of young and talented singers who are gathered together by conductor Bozidar Crnjanski, with a clear goal and the idea of promotion and development of choral music in our cultural environment, by fostering a diverse repertoire with high standards of performance.

The dynamic creative and and performative life of the Novi Sad Chamber Choir where there are numerous tours in the country and abroad, bring joy and beauty of singing to these young artists, and as a sign of strong communication with the audience they receive numerous applause as the biggest prize for their work and endless love for music.

Novi Sad Chamber Choir had so far several solo evening concerts, the ensemble actively records and collaborates with renowned artists and ensembles such as the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra as part of New Year's concerts in Belgrade and Novi Sad (2013). Novi Sad Chamber Choir has participated so far in several international festivals and competitions, winning several special awards and first prizes:

  • 13-Internationaler Kammerchor Wettbewerb Marktoberdorf, Germany (2013);
  • XVII Festival International de Chant Choral "Voix du Monde", Nancy, France (2014);
  • Two special prizes at the International Cmpetition "Golden Villa", Prijedor, Serbian R. (2015);
  • Two gold medals in the category of mixed and youth choirs at the First International Choir Festival, Herceg Novi, Montenegro (2015);
  • Gold medal and the overall second prize at the 11. Internationaler Chorwettbewerb Miltenberg, Germany (2016);

Novi Sad Chamber Choir is so far the only mixed choir from Serbia who had the opportunity to participate in the workshop of the renowned ensemble King's Singers (2013). For the past achieved artistic and performing level, the Novi Sad Chamber Choir was evaluated exceptional criticism by the experts at home and abroad.
Bozidar Crnjanski finished the postgraduate studies in choral conducting in the class of prof. Tatjana Ostojic at the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad. He participated in the International Project Campus Cantat in Dortmund (Germany), choral conducting master classes Winter Scohol, 2005 in Dubrovnik with prof. Mats Nilsen (Royal Academy Stockholm, Sweden) and conductor Gary Graden (Ljubljana 2007). Stocholm
He is the first and only conductor from Serbia who collaborated with Euro Choir (AGEC, Belgium) in 2010, the ensemble of young and talented singers from all over Europe. Crnjanski actively cooperates with the Chamber Choir of the Serbian National Theatre, Mixed Choir of the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad Novi Sad, as well as the men's choir of St. Seraphim of Sarov from Zrenjanin, with which, from 1997 onwards, he has done a large number of performances at home and abroad (Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Austria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland ... ).

While working with mixed choir of Cultural and Art Society '' Svetozar Marković '' from Novi Sad (2002-2013) conductor Bozidar Crnjanski achieved huge success, winning a number of international awards: Preveza 2004 (I prize), Sofia 2004 (I prize), Arezzo 2005 (I prize), Masmechelen 2007 (III prize), Prijedor 2008 (I prize), Niš (I prize), Pardubice 2009 (two first prizes and laureate), Gorizia 2011 (I prize), Torrevieja 2012 (I prize), and participated on all major music festivals and competitions in the country accomplishing an active concert activity hora.
He is founder and artistic director of the Novi Sad Chamber Choir (2013).
He has been awarded the best conductor at the 1st International Choir Festival in Sofia in 2004 by the Bulgarian Choral Society, as well as the Festival of Music Societies of Vojvodina in 2009. and 2011. He is a member of national and international choral jury.
Bozidar Crnjanski is employed as an Assistant Professor of conducting at the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad.
